Getting Found Locally on Google Search Results
At AdSpecs Local Web Design we offer more than just fancy websites. We are also marketers that understand the value in optimizing sites for LOCAL SEARCH & MARKETING.
Search engines such as Google & Yahoo have recently moved to a search model that focuses on ‘local’ search, meaning that websites that have keywords relating to their products or services, as well as the suburb, city and or region, are going to be listed more prominently than those that aren’t.
Many web designers have missed this development, allowing us to offer our AdSpecs Local Marketing Services to local businesses, to help them gain higher search engine results position for their relevant KEYWORDS, as well as gain a competitive online marketing edge.
In many cases we can have you listed on the first page for specific keywords related to your industry. For highly competitive keywords, we guarantee top Google page one listings, via a managed Google AdWords Pay Per Click campaign, for a very affordable monthly management fee.
Mobile Optimized Websites
We can also help your business benefit from the fast growing use of Smart Phones, Tablets and other hand-held devices to access the web, via the creation of Mobile optimized websites. How does your current site look when visited via a Smart Phone? In the very near future over 60% of all site-search will be done via hand-held devices, so it’s very important to make sure that your visitors are directed to a version of your website, that makes for easy viewing and provides quick information, including location maps, hours of business etc.
Social Media Marketing
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt heard all the BUZZ about Facebook! We can help get your business on it by creating effective Business Fan Pages, that link from your main site and allow visitors to write reviews, share information with their friends, and hopefully give your business a continual VIRAL marketing boost.
Social media Marketing is now a huge portion of all advertising that businesses now need to do, as past advertising models such as Yellow Pages, Radio, Newspaper & TV have become less effective.

Search Engine Optimisation New Zealand
Search Engine Optimisation New Zealand
“Increasing website traffic” should be a fundamental goal of any online business, and if you aren’t giving your site the constant attention it requires, then you might as well not have bothered putting a website online. The old adage of ‘build it and they will come’ doesn’t cut it when there are millions of competing websites online.
Unless you built your own business website (and knew what you were doing), you probably paid a web designer good money to create your site, and though they no doubt delivered, they probably just said here are the keys and good luck. If you were fortunate they might have done some SEO, keyword optimisation, and encouraged you to also pay them to build you a Facebook Business Fanpage and hopefully a Mobile optimised website as well. Odds are though that you probably just got your base website built, with very little search engine optimisation.
Obviously everyone wants visitors to their websites, and the most natural cost-free traffic you can generate comes from Search Engine Optimisation, and though it should be done during the website creation phase, it can be applied to your site at anytime. Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines’ “natural,” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”), search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimising a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic. One of the big drawbacks of trying to manage SEO on your own site(s), is the constant changing of the parameters for the indexing and ranking sites, by companies like Google (Google PANDA updates etc).
For a very affordable SEO service fee, AdSpecs and its partners are able to manage clients SEO campaigns, assuring maximum ROI. For more information and an obligation free quote, please CLICK HERE

Facebook Fanpage Timeline Changes
By now most Facebook Fan page owners are well aware of the pending changes to the design of their current Facebook Fan page design, where the old ‘narrow’ and side-linked Fan pages are about to be changed in preference to the new wider format, that actually looks and acts more like a normal website.
It seems like Facebook enjoy mixing things up every few months, but maybe that’s not a bad thing as the new Timeline Fan page format will create more innovative design opportunities, and great opportunities to add more content in a more structured menu.
One major complaint by users and especially businesses, is the removal of the feature that allowed them to set the desired landing page, which generally was pointed to a LIKE GATE. Though you can still create a Like Gate, it now just becomes a choice of one of three tabs, that are part of the new Fan page design.
Apparently in the 10 days since Timeline was made available to Facebook Pages, over 8 million brands have already switched to the new format, according to Facebook.
But not all of Facebook’s Top Branded Pages have switched to Timeline. Among the top brands as listed by Ignite Social Media for November, 2011, such brands as Disney, Oreo, YouTube, Skittles and PlayStation haven’t yet switched to Timeline.
Timeline will automatically go live for all brands on 30 March, 2012, so it’s important that Page owners inform themselves of what has changed and what new capabilities have been added. The Timeline design requires more attention to the design of the Page as no Landing Page is now available, and owners need to know how they can control the format, look and feel of their new Page. The cover photo, in particular, needs a lot of consideration as it is now one of the major design components of the Page.
At AdSpecs Web Design and Social Media Marketing, we have these changes under control for local New Zealand businesses needing to either update their current Facebook Fan Pages, or are looking for their first Business Timeline Fan page to be built.

Local eCommerce Solutions
If you are selling products and or services offline, then it only makes sense to sell them online too.
The benefits of implementing business eCommerce solutions are as many as they are compelling. For instance your potential customer base instantly extends worldwide, if that’s your market but even if local, your customers might be busy trades people that may be happy to order online, and wait a day or two for delivery, rather than make a trip across town or come in from the country. Offering overnight delivery is probably all they need in most cases.
Remember your eCommerce store never sleeps, able to take orders all day and all night every day of the year. You can tightly target promotions, build loyal online followings and save all manner of traditional staffing and retail property costs.
eCommerce website solutions offer a great way to supplement your bricks and mortar sales with clicks and mortar.
But before diving head first into the world of online retail and rushing out to order the first online system that catches your eye, do yourself a big favour and take a long hard look at both your requirements and how they might best align with the many website eCommerce solutions available on the market today.
You should of course insist on a robust eCommerce system that not only meets your current needs but also has the scope to scale up to your potential requirements. In other words, don’t invest in a product that you will outgrow the moment you’re up and running. On the other hand make sure that your system isn’t over-specified at the outset. The system should be professionally supported and it’s a good idea to pay a reasonable ongoing monthly maintenance fee, to allow for regular additions and changes, especially if you have a large & changing product range.
At AdSpecs we can offer an affordable and professional eCommerce solution & ongoing consultation for your business. Read more: eCommerce Solutions
